As is beautifully depicted in the line "The night rain of Bashan swells the autumn pool", poets and scholars have long cherished the misty poetic charm of Chongqing since ancient times. Today, as the "warriors of the workplace" step out of the concrete jungle, leave the hustle of KPIs behind and set foot in this "city of mountains and rivers, a land of beauty", a team-building journey that blends natural wonders, cultural heritage and the warmth of everyday life unfolds gently to the rhythm of the Jialing River. Over three unforgettable days, taking our footsteps as a brush and the river breeze as ink, we have created unique memories belonging to our team in the layers of this mountain city — memories filled with the awe of geological wonders, the tranquility of the thousand-year-old ancient towns, and the deep camaraderie rising in the steam of the hot pot.

Day 1: Arrival in the mountain city — first encounter with its true charm amid mist and fire.

As the aircraft cuts through the clouds over Chongqing, the scenery outside the window foreshadows the extraordinary nature of this journey: stacked mountains hold up row upon row of buildings, while the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers twist through the land like two emerald ribbons. A vivid picture unfolds — a city nested in mountains, and mountains embraced by the city.

A warm “Welcome to Chongqing” in authentic Sichuan-Chongqing accent instantly dispelled all travel fatigue. Riding through the undulating streets, we kept hearing navigation reminders: “Sharp curves ahead. Please slow down.” The free time became a feast for food lovers: some followed the hot pot aroma from the lanes, daring to challenge the spicy tallow broth in a nine-square pot; others held a bowl of sour and spicy noodles beside Jiefangbei, watching neon lights and historic buildings shine against each other in the night. As locals put it: “The night of Chongqing is half heroic spirit of the rivers and lakes, half warmth of everyday life.”

Day 2: Exploring Wulong • From Geological Epics to the Night View of Hongyadong

In the early morning, the bus headed for Wulong along the Chongqing-Xiangjiang Expressway. The three and a half hours’ journey passed quietly amid the laughter and cheerful talks of colleagues. When the majestic sight of the Three Natural Bridges came into view, all noise fell silent in an instant. The towering Tianlong Bridge, the precipitous Qinglong Bridge, and the secluded Heilong Bridge span the gorge as if they were a "geological symphony" carved by nature over hundreds of millions of years. Our guide mentioned that this was the filming location of Curse of the Golden Flower.Standing at the bottom of Tianlong Bridge and looking up, the folds on the stone walls seem to tell the ancient vicissitudes of time. One cannot help but marvel: compared with the "involution" in the workplace, the creation of heaven and earth is truly a masterpiece.

In the afternoon, Fairy Mountain presents a different kind of gentleness. The 100,000-mu natural grassland rolls with green waves in the autumn wind, where cattle and sheep wander leisurely, and distant mountains are dyed a deep blue-green hue, as if the grassland scenery of Inner Mongolia had been “air-dropped” to the south of the Yangtze River. Team members either stroll on the meadow or chat along the log plank road. Their usually tense nerves gradually relax in the embrace of nature. It turns out that team communication does not always require PPTs; sometimes all it takes is a blue sky, a gentle breeze, and partners sitting side by side.

CHONGQING

Recalling glorious years at Jiefangbei, enchanted by flowing lights by Hongyadong.

When we returned to the urban area, evening lights were just beginning to glow. Beneath Jiefangbei, the *Monument to the Victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression* stood even more dignified in the night. Completed in 1947, the monument has witnessed a century of changes in Chongqing and reminds us that the peaceful life we enjoy today is made possible only by the perseverance and sacrifices of our predecessors.

Yet the night view of Hongyadong brings the romance of the mountain city to a climax. The stilted buildings built along the mountain are illuminated by lights, whose wooden upturned eaves outline classic silhouettes in the light and shadow, forming a delightful contrast with the shimmering waves on the river.

Some say this place resembles the fairy-tale world in *Spirited Away*, but the romance of Chongqing goes far beyond imagination. As team members walked slowly along the riverside promenade, listening to the evening breeze of the Jialing River carrying the whistles of cruise ships, all worries about work were gently soothed by this colorful night scene.

Day 3: A Tour of the Mountain City’s Culture • Understanding Chongqing Between Local Life and History

Yangtze River Cableway in the Morning Light: An Aerial Corridor Overlooking the Two Rivers

"A ride on the Yangtze River Cableway is a must for any visit to Chongqing." Early in the morning at the cableway station, we finally experienced the wonder of "walking in the air". Stretching 1,166 meters like a silver thread, the cableway connects Yuzhong Peninsula and the South Bank. As the cable car slowly rises, the mighty Yangtze River flows beneath, and the scenery on both banks unfolds one after another: the yellow walls and dark tiles of Baixiangju, the upturned eaves of Huguang Guild Hall, and the steel structure of Dongshuimen Bridge…

Liziba Light Rail: Urban Wisdom in a Fantastical Transit Experience

The amazing sight of the light rail passing right through a building is a wonderful "surprise blind box" that Chongqing has given us. At the Liziba viewing platform, as Line 2 roared through the residential building like a silver dragon, shutter clicks and exclamations echoed one after another. "The 6th floor is the station hall, the 7th floor is the equipment level, and the 8th floor is the platform." This seemingly fantastic design is actually the crystallization of Chongqing people’s wisdom in "creating space from mountainous terrain". "When we encounter the 'impossible' at work, we might learn from Chongqing’s light rail: change your perspective, and you can 'pass through the building' to reach new possibilities."

Ciqikou · Bai Mansion · Mountain City Trail: Tracing the Soul of Chongqing Through Time

In the afternoon at Ciqikou Ancient Town, the singing of Sichuan Opera from old teahouses echoed across the blue stone-paved streets. Following the aroma of Chen’s Mahua (fried dough twists), we wandered into the alleys, watching veteran craftsmen press oil and mold dough figurines on site, savoring the old prosperity depicted as “thousands paying homage by day, ten thousand lamps glowing at night”. Amid the lively, earthly atmosphere of this thousand-year-old town, we reclaimed the childlike innocence we had long missed.

Amid the warm, lively vibe of this thousand-year-old town, we regained the childlike innocence we had not felt in a long time.

With mountains and rivers as witnesses, team building is not just about traveling, but about journeying together.

Three days passed quietly like the running water of the Jialing River, yet they left brilliant memories in our hearts. We marveled at the power of nature at the Three Natural Bridges, indulged in the tenderness of the night at Hongyadong, felt the strength of faith at Bai Mansion, and through each other’s company, gained a friendship more precious than any scenery.

When climbing upward, never forget the companions beside you. When facing steep slopes, remember to follow the steps of the Mountain City Trail— step by step, you will surely reach the summit.

This, perhaps, is the true meaning of team building — not only about how many scenery we have seen, but about who we travel with and what growth we gain together. On the 14th anniversary of the company, may we carry the toughness and romance of the mountain city, continue to climb over every challenge in our future journey, and march toward greater goals hand in hand!
